Over 12 years, I have used many web hosting from different hosting companies, I do not want to mention these web hosting companies’ names here. Some hostings do run very fast, but the hosting has so many limitations, say file inodes, we are not allowed to use over 200,000 inodes. We know Magento is very big, much more than 200,000. Some run very slow. Some customer service is just so so. When you meet some issues, you can not get the issues solved in time! Nexcess, yes Nexcess, their hosting runs Magento very fast. Over the last year, I did not have any safety issues.
The most important is their in-house Magento Experts, they are always helpful, they are with you 365 days, 24 hours!
Next step, we plan to migrate all our Magento-based websites to Nexcess. I Hope Nexcess can offer us root privileges, or at least let us can install, and set Fail2ban. That would be more better.
